Winter Solstice

 happy winter solstice

a time of reflection

and allowing ourselves

quiet coziness

let us honor

curling inwards towards

ourselves

for deep, healing rest

The winter solstice, the shortest and darkest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, is a turning point that invites me to really consider the changes that winter brings.

I'm carving time for slowing down, intentionally choosing what nourishes me like sketching, journaling, and collaging.  Each December, I write and reflect on my year with a list of things that have happened.  These include milestones, celebrations, challenges, places I have traveled, and small, special moments.  Prioritizing rest also becomes more important.  I really enjoy taking what I call a “Nidra nap."  If you're interested in trying out one of my Yoga Nidra sessions and practicing deep rest, find them linked here.

Thank you so much for being here on this journey with me.  Wishing you a lovely holiday season and transition into the new year.

With love,

Catherine
