Live Yoga

We will begin with meditative centering, flow through an ever-changing sequence of postures informed by the current season and rhythms, and end with the quiet stillness of both savasana and a shorted seated closing meditation. The class honors the traditional meaning of vinyasa, which according to the early Tantras, means "a sequence of consciousness” that unfolds from the creative pulse of life. Through dynamic movement, stillness, sustained holds, and flow, we will cultivate awareness of breath and alignment, energy and spirit. Classes promote strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility and are accessible for all.

Met beautiful artist Catherine Chang in the Mediterranean sea off the island of Crete... We were one of 3 intrepid souls to brave swimming from Mohklas to an island with rare Minoan ruins. We became fast friends and shared many swims and laughs and glasses of wine during our time together at this artist residency. She told me she taught yoga but I had no idea that she is one of the most transforming teachers I've ever practiced with. To have her presence entering my space virtually during the COVID quarantine has made all else not only tolerable but really really lovely and mindful.
